3 Days Uganda Bwindi Forest Gorilla Trekking Safari

Day 1: Kampala - Bwindi
Very early in the morning we leave Kampala for a long journey towards the western part of Uganda. It is a full day drive but via a scenic route. On the way we will pass the equator where we will stop for photos and shopping. We will have lunch in the calm town of Mbarara and proceed our drive through the verdant countryside. You will pass traditional homesteads and have panoramic views of the surroundings. Dinner and overnight at camp/lodge
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking
After an early morning breakfast, you will drive to the Park headquarters for registration and joining others for a gorilla trekking briefing about the dos and the don’ts during your Gorilla Trek. Once this is done, you will set off for gorilla tracking. Trekking through the steep, densely forested hills and then finally coming across the gorillas camouflaged in the vegetation is an inspiring and privileged moment. Tracking in the Bwindi forest requires stamina and can often take most of the day depending on the movements of the gorillas in search for food. On your trek, you are likely to spot other primates, birds and rare tree species. After finding the gorillas, you will be allowed to spend one hour with gorillas observing them and taking photos before trekking back to the Park headquarter. This is indeed an extraordinary feeling being with these beautiful yet endangered Creatures. The afternoon is free for you to enjoy are other activities and excursions on offer in and around the national park. . Dinner and overnight at camp/lodge.
Day 3: Bwindi National Park - Kampala
Enjoy early pre-breakfast game drive in search of the predators and grazers before leaving with a picnic lunch en route for lake Nakuru national park, which is famous for its flamingo population estimated to be more than a million, hence it is referred to as the ‘Birds Paradise’ by bird watchers. You will arrival at Lake Nakuru national park early evening in time for dinner and overnight. Dinner and overnight at camp/lodge.

- Tips and gratuities to rangers, porter, hotel staff, etc
- All expenses of personal nature (e.g. drinks, laundry, optional activities, souvenirs etc.)
