9 Days Uganda Gorilla & Wildlife Adventure Safari

Day 1: Kampala - Murchison Fall National Park
Depart from Kampala early not later than 0630hrs in the morning for a scenic drive North-west to Murchison Falls National Park. Enroute visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided Rhino walk before proceeding for a lunch break in Masindi Town. Proceed to Murchison falls National Park with sightseeing enroute to your Lodge.
Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Boat Rides Along the Nile
Today after breakfast you will be transferred for an early morning for a game drive on the northern bank in search of animals like: lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, hartebeests, oribis, Uganda kobs, buffaloes among other animals and birds species that your guide will help you spot. Return to the lodgefor lunch. In the afternoon, proceed for a boat trip on the placid Victoria Nile, upstream, to the base of the Falls stopping just tens of meters from the "Devil's Cauldron’’. En route you will see hippos, crocodiles, waterbucks, buffaloes, elephants and a wide variety of birds like the unusual shoebill stork. Take pictures of the photogenic and majestic Murchison Falls. Disembark from the boat and take a hike to the Top of the Falls where you can see the Nile’s beauty perfected!! Marvel at the Nile, compressing from 50 meters to squeeze through a 6-metre canyon in the Rift Valley escarpment dropping 40 meters with a thunderous roar creating a beautiful rainbow, a plume of spray.
Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park - Fort Portal
After early breakfast, depart Murchison Falls and drive southwest to Fort Portal via the Albertine Escapment of the Western Rift Valley through Hoima where you will have your lunch. Proceed through verdant countryside traditional homesteads and tea plantations arriving Fort Portal late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at camp/lodge.
Day 4: Chimp Tracking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kibale National Park headquarters for briefing and then spend most of the morning in the rain forest in search of chimpanzees. These primates are very mobile and viewing is unpredictable but a forest walk is an enriching activity. This forest is home to a large number of chimpanzees and other primates including Lhoestes, Red-Colobus, Blues, Res-tailed, grey cheeked Mangabeys, birds and butterflies. You will be allowed one hour with the chimps before returning back for lunch. Thereafter transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park Dinner and overnight at camp/lodge.
Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Wake-up and start your day with a sunrise game-drive along Kasenyi tracks and Queens mile in search of animals like: lions, elephants, cape buffalos, warthogs, spotted hyenas, mangoose, waterbucks, kobs and if lucky, leopard, and over 606 bird species recorded here, return to the lodge for full breakfast, relax into the lunch break. In the afternoon enjoy an exciting two hours boat cruise on the spectacular Kazinga Channel. This offers an excellent platform for photography and game viewing. This launch cruise gives you a great opportunity for photography, bird watching and game viewing at close range. Dinner and overnight at camp/lodge.
Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After early morning breakfast, transfer to Bwindi via the Ishasha sector of the tree climbing lions for an en route game drive in search of these great cats. . Dinner and overnight at camp/lodge.
Day 7: Gorilla Trekking at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an early breakfast and a briefing by a ranger guide, who will then lead you into the forest trekking these great relatives of ours (Mountain Gorillas). The beauty of this rain forest is spectacular. The area offers dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense, but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle and endangered giants is an awesome, exciting experience to be long savored. Many find it to be a rare and moving opportunity. You will return for lunch (if not packed), relax and freshen up at your lodge and later depending on your interest, transfer for a community walk to experience the local community way of life and cultures or just relax at your lodge for the rest of the day/evening. Dinner and overnight at camp/lodge.
Day 8: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, transfer with en route lunch at lunch in Mbarara town to Lake Mburo National park arriving in time for afternoon a boat ride on Lake Mburo followed by an evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at camp/lodge.
Day 9: Lake Mburo National Park for Kampala/Entebbe Airport
After breakfast there will enjoy optional activities here that includes guided bush walks, Biking, horseback riding and much more. After lunch, you will drive back to Kampala or Entebbe stopping at the equator for the requisite snapshot and a bit of souvenir shopping.
